It’s a good day for us travelers because Taiwan just announced that starting June 2017, Filipinos will be granted a visa-free entry to this wonderful island. Well, it’s not just for us Filipinos but also to other countries most especially in Southeast Asia. This move primarily aims to welcome more visitors from its neighboring countries and boost tourism in the region.
Taipei Economic and Cultural Office (TECO) in Manila is said to formally announce the good news after the Holy Week. This grant will be implemented on a trial basis for 1 year and will be giving Filipinos up to a 30-day stay in the country.
Last October 2016, Taiwan also relaxed its visa requirements for Filipinos who have been to some OECD-member countries that’s why I also planned on visiting the place, but now, we can all go together without worrying about our visas. Cheers! 🙂
